Luminaria de San Antón

On January 17, the Festivity of San Antón, was once one of the big days in Almedina. As in so many other villages, at that time, people depended on animals to work in agriculture, hence their importance. However, and although the relationship with animals has changed, their blessing is still taking place in the Hermitage of los Remedios. Also, on the eve of the 17th, the tradition of lighting lights in each neighborhood is maintained, where neighbors share food and conversation. Nowadays, we can observe the figure of the Saint in the de San Antón Street, on the way to the graveyard.
