The historical nucleus of Almedina is based on a soil full of springs, caves carved by the existence of ancient seas, mines made by the neighbours to provide water supply, caves-cellar … Being the majority of them privately owned, at this moment, the Almedina City Council works in agreements with the neighbours so that some of these caves can be visited. To this end, works are also being carried out to improve access to some of them.
